WEBSecond, to cut new chain, I lay out old chain pulled tight with new chain beside it on floor. Mark link to cut. New chain will be maybe 3/8 inch shorter than old one. Count links for confirmation. Check twice cut once. Third, red high strength locktite is overkill for the front counter sprocket.

That's what I'm going with for mine. For someone who rides off road a lot he said to mix 10 and 15 wt oil to achieve 12.5wt.
